Czars at the w/i/ki are specially designated sysops who are available to help with certain aspects of the site. Czars are sysops who have shown a particular interest in particular aspects of the site and thus take on the responsibility of following-up on that aspect. Anyone can perform the functions of a Czar, but those named below have taken a special interest in it and usually have a better knowledge of that particular area. If you have questions, feel free to ask them. Keep in mind, the below sysops are not the sole individuals allowed to work on those areas, they have just agreed to work on it specifically.
You must be a Sysop before you can become Czar of anything, except in the case of Project Portals.

[edit] Raid Czar
The Raids Czar is responsible for
- Categorizing New Raids as Good New Raids or Bad New Raids,
- Adding the {{Raid Infobox}} and all appropriate information
- Adding templates such as {{Watched}}, {{Lulz Alert}}, {{Media}}, {{2xMedia}}, {{Cancer}}, and {{NYPA}} to raid articles.
- Communicating with Raid OP's to ensure they're aware of the Raid Cycle and are preparing their raid for being Featured.
PROTIP: Learn to think in GMT, and be able to translate GMT to EST and PST/PDT
- Updating Upcoming, Featured, and Previous Raids.
- Make a new poll in Upcoming Raids listing all Good New Raids that haven't been Featured in the last week, no later than 2300 GMT, an hour before it'll display on the frontpage.
- At 0800 GMT, 0400 EST, 0100 PST, the raid that is in the lead will become the Upcoming Raid. Leaving the poll results displayed, add all appropriate information to Upcoming Raid the day of (imagewidth=150px), Featured Raid for the next day (imagewidth=200px), and Previous Raid two days ahead (imagewidth=150px).

A Series Czar is assigned to one of the following categories: Tutorials, Projects, Tools, Methods, Enemies, and Programming. The Series Czar is responsible for (using tools as an example):
- Placing new tools on Template:Tools and Template:Main_Page/Tools
- Picking the Featured Tool of the day
- Checking all newly submitted download links for spam or viruses and preventing users from replacing download links with trojaned versions of software,
- Improving existing articles and developing/expanding the Tools section as part of the upcoming w/i/ki Improvement Drive.

The Image Czar on the /i/nsurgency w/i/ki is responsible for the image and other media files on the site. They catalog images and ensure that images are added to all appropriate articles. Image Czars need to go through every image and write a description of what they are in the image article. They also help by creating image galleries for certain articles adding {{boring}}, and other appropriate templates to articles which require images (such as {{pixplz}}), adding {{descplz}} to image files, and dropping the {{filename}} template on user talk pages of those who forget to use a proper file name for their uploaded images.

The Grammar and Formatting Czar is responsible for cleaning up spelling, grammar and improper language stylings, and ensuring pages are properly formatted according to the Personal Raid Template and Site Raid Template with the aim of fostering lulzy yet readable language in w/i/ki articles in order to ensure moar accurate, efficient delivery of the lulz. This Czar will cultivate an air of effete superiority and condescension, understand the subjunctive, use a wide range of vocabulary on the w/i/ki, cling to obsolete formalities like "whom", never end sentences in prepositions, memorize both the The Elements of Style and The Chicago Manual of Style, and judiciously implement the recommendations thereof depending on situation and context.

The sysop in charge of portals and working as liason with normal users is Admin. If you want to work on a portal, have an idea for a new portal, or have a suggestion for the general framework, contact him or a w/i/ki sysop first and let them know if you need any help with creation. Generally speaking, using one of the w/i/ki's categories as the backbone for a portal is a good idea.
