Project Chanology/Operations/Section 0: Good ol' DDoS (Complete)

Section 0 is complete. This information is here for archive purposes.

Take down their websites. All of them. The day anon lays waste to all scientologist websites on the internet is the day that we claim glorious e-victory. Not just .org, but:

Also note that you should use UDP, as SYN/TCP won't work, and do not use a proxy.

Here's a gameplan you might want to consider...

  • 1) Borrow a WiFi enabled laptop from a friend.
  • 2) Install LOIC (Low Orbit Ion Cannon) onto it.
  • 3) Go to somewhere with free WiFi (most Barnes & Nobles or Borders Bookstores, Panera bakeries and Starbucks coffeshops; Some University Campuses or public libraries; and even the occasional Burger King franchises offer free WiFi.)
  • 4) Launch LOIC.
4a) Enter the name of a scientology site, such as RTC.org or Scientology.co.uk
    4b) Click Lock On
4c) Set Threads to some number >1000
4d) Add some anti-Scientology propogranda message in the TCP/UDP message field.
4e) Click IMMA CHARGIN MAH LAZER and minimize the program to run in the background.
  • 5) Read you library book or drink your coffee while innocently surfing the internet. After about an hour, shutdown LOIC and your laptop and go about the rest of your day.

If the same IP Address shows up on Scientology's list of DDoS starting point enough times, they'll block that IP address. Which means anyone trying to go to a Scientology site from that location won't be able to get in. And them blocking themselves is just as good as us blocking them...but without any extra effort required on our part!

Another way to think of it- the Evildoers have two choices- Let us attack them and lose times that their site can be seen, or block us and lose places their site can be seen. Either way, Epic Win.

[edit] DDoS Protection: Prolexic

Scientology.org uses DDoS protection from Prolexic [1] We will first try to convince them to stop helping the murder cult [2]. If that does not work, we will spam, flood and inform their customers about Prolexic's evil connections.

I'm not sure of this, but it appears that Prolexic lets you change your DNS servers to point to Prolexic's IP addresses. Prolexic then filters all traffic before forwarding it on to the real IP address. Netcraft shows how they changed addresses: http://toolbar.netcraft.com/site_report?url=http://www.scientology.org

SoC IP block, someone do a nessus or at least nmap it -> http://ws.arin.net/whois/?queryinput=!%20NET-192-216-201-0-1

If this assessment is correct, it will do more damage to attack one of scientology.org's real IPs: 68.178.153.227. It is currently still up and responding to scientology.org requests. If eventually they block outside access to this IP address, flooding near-by addresses with enough packets/bandwidth usually works equally as well to bring down the encompassing network. (Why we believe this is the real IP)

Here's a concept for you. They have limited server resources. No "DDoS" avoidance technique will help if that resource is used up. What can an average Anon or NonAnon do? Just go use their page. Load it, click some links every once and a while(Don't read it tho, its crap). A bonus, for some bandwidth costs by the gigabyte. All non-dronecollecting load on their site is a financial loss. Epic win.

THE HIGHER YOUR BANDWIDTH THE BETTER!!!

This is a very simple php that gets the urls from a xml sitemap and creates a page with an 1px by 1px iframe for each url... You can generate an xml sitemap here http://www.xml-sitemaps.com or get the full package here http://www.lineage-ii.com.ar/nukem.rar (php script, and xml files).
It is working at http://www.lineage-ii.com.ar/nukem.php

Newsletter DoS!!! This is a simple php that generates hundereds of fake subscriptions to scientologytoday newsletter download the source from here http://lineage-ii.com.ar/newsletter.txt or visit with your browser this http://lineage-ii.com.ar/newsletter.php (it has a refresh so leave it running). Upload it to free servers and tell all your friends before they do something about it!!!!

Here is a python program that will hit the list of all the sites in the Target_Websites area as of Jan 29th, 2008. It's a zip file so download it and unpack it to somewhere then run either tameloop.py or ultra_hitter.py, tameloop opens ultra_hitter.py 500 times, you have been warned. Feel free to tweak stuff in notepad if you want.

If it crashed then run open the command prompt run ultra_hitter.py from there and then mark off the URL in the error message with a #, this will skip it.

REMEMBER: You MUST have python installed for the these two programs to work, if you don't have you can get it at http://python.org/download/. Many Linux distros (such as Ubuntu) have python installed by default. Please fix anything that is broken and replace the links if needed, if you know python your help would be good. It would be best to put this in a shared directory on a network and run it on as many computers as possible.

Python Workstation special ^_^, kills explorer runs forever attacks all sites: http://www.mediafire.com/?fyv2vzgnay4 (run tameloop.py)

Another program using DOS and Internet Explorer, that does the same as the python one but without python and with more mess, if you use IE as your primary browser I don't recommend using this because it closes IE every few seconds.

For the programs with massive lists of sites it's best to start one running before you go out to work or school (for those who do) because the bandwidth you can use for web browsing and your CPU will get very busy so don't expect to do much with you compy while it's attacking. You can of course moddified the code for better preformance and resource sharing if you want.

Avil Plan Specialized programs:

RoadKill for Windows XP Also looking for testers of RoadKill, especially made for Anonymous. RoadKill has a predefined list of sites which you can select from. It also allows you to use an anonymous proxy if you have one.
